Hey guys... These are the notes from Adriel's Centralised Teaching in YM on the 13th April 2008.....Sorry that the notes are not that complete but maybe u guys can add ur comments on the tagboard (Still trying to get the tagboard to work.... any technical assistance or advise would be much appreciated =) Enjoy....
Your Words Matter - By Adriel Loh
1) Your words can make or break others
- James 3: 6,9
- You can use it to BLESS or CURSE others
- The Devil is out to destroy out faith, you don't really need to help him
- A real hero is a man who can fight eventhough he is scared
- John 6: 63
- We can pray 2 types of prayer:
1) "Not my will but Yours be done" - Prayer that changes you
2) "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven" - Prayer that changes the circumstances
- Ordinary prayer comes from earth upwards but special prayer brings the resources from heaven downward to earth.
- Prayer is the conduit through which power in Heaven is brought downwards
- What is the use of praying for power when we don't do anything that uses that power?
- We can become agents of change to pray the will of God into existence!
3) Your words can make or break yourself
- What you confess in your heart, you will believe
- Speaking words of faith will EMPOWER you.
- A depressed Christian is a misnomer
- Romans 6:4,5
- 2 substitutions
1) Christ died for us - This is the basis of our forgiveness from sin
2) Christ lives in us - This is the basis of our victory
- God does not want to change us, He wants to exchange us (our fleshly nature) for Christ!
- Satan wants us to look at ourselves. God wants us to look at Jesus Christ.
- IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO YOU ARE
- What matters is God who proclaims that " I AM WHO I AM"

hey all...
how's everyone keeping?
miss you all! haha...tho i only saw some of you on sunday...hee
anywayz this week...there won't be ym cos it's christmas!!
do attend the Christmas services at main church (either wesley hall or sanctuary...depending on which style of worship you prefer) at either 0830 or 1100 ok?? note it's NOT the usual 0930 or 1130 okiez? :)
and then on this friday nite there's Carols by Candlelight at weslry plaza at 1930 too...
it is a beautiful service!!! *smile*
but if u would like to go do be there by 1830 ok...cos from experience there wont be many seats left by even 1900!!! yeah
if u want to come n will be late do drop me an sms and i will TRY my very best to save a seat for you!!! (no guarantees k cos it's actually not tt fair to hold seats for too long...hee)
but yea...do let me know if u're gg for any of the services (carols by candlelight on fri 1930, christmas service on sun 0830 or christmas service on sun 1100) ok?? cos if u'd like, we cn sit together...hee
but if not do feel free to go on ur own too!! hee...

i'm pretty happy...some of u have been asking me for suitable quiet time materials!! hee
anywayz i visited tecman today (it's a christian bookstore) and looked thru some of the material...
i quite like this one i will bring to class tmr (later) to show u all ok? it's the WWJD one...and it's one whole yr's worth of devotionals! hee...
i oso quite like this other one called Every Day with Jesus...to check it out, here's a 7-day trial! :) http://www.cwr.org.uk/doc/pdfs/ed_nd_05_7days.pdf

i do encourage all of u to share what God has done for you, showed you or given you during this camp with the rest of your ysg frens if you're comfortable with it! :)
those of you who didnt go for camp, well too bad but i reali do hope u dun miss out on experiencing God's greatness next year!!! :)
by the way i made a mistake 1.5wks ago...tt sunday was not our last ysg time for the yr!!
this sun will be the last one!! hee
